Privacy Policy

Public Pools+ helps you find public swimming pools, splash pads, spray features, and water playgrounds, with schedules, locations, and photos. This policy explains what information the app and our websites collect and how it is used.

Information we collect

Location (optional): If you grant permission, your device location is used to show pools near you, sort by distance, and auto-detect your city. Your location is used on your device and in the moment of the request; we do not store a history of your locations.
Account information (optional): If you create an account, we store your email address and sign-in details through our authentication provider, Clerk. You can use most of the app without an account.
Payment information (optional): If you purchase Pool Pro, payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Push notification tokens (optional): If you enable closure/weather alerts on a mobile device, we store an anonymous push token so we can deliver those alerts.
Crowd reports: If you submit a crowd level or closure report, we store the report (pool, category, time). Reports are anonymous to other users.
Usage data: We use a random per-browser identifier to measure aggregate interest on our marketing pages (page views, clicks, sign-ups). This is not used to build advertising profiles.
Email addresses (optional): If you subscribe to alerts or express interest in Pool Pro, we store your email to send you those messages. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored permanently.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising.
We do not track your location in the background.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run the app: Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Expo (push notification delivery), Resend (email delivery), and Replit (hosting and database). Each receives only the data needed to perform its function.

Data retention & deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can permanently delete your account and its associated data at any time directly in the app: open the Account screen and choose Delete account. Deletion is immediate and also cancels any active Pool Pro subscription. You can also request deletion by emailing us at hello@publicpoolsplus.com, and we will delete it within 30 days.

Children

Public Pools+ is a general-audience app about public facilities. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
